Six Months Later: My Name Is Finally Gone — But the Problems Aren’t
It’s been six months since I retired from my former job — a decision that came after a long list of red flags, unfair treatment, and a breaking point I could no longer ignore. And now, finally, my name has been removed from their website.
You’d think it would be a minor detail. But to me, it felt like closure, or at least a step in that direction. For half a year, I was still publicly listed as part of a team I no longer worked with, at a place I chose to leave because it had become impossible to thrive there.
Yet during those six months, they still hadn’t managed to update one of the core parts of my role: the data.
The Irony Hits Hard
Before I left, maintaining and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data was one of my key responsibilities. I took that role seriously. I knew the importance of clean, reliable data — how it impacts decisions, policies, funding, and credibility.
But now, from what I can tell, they still haven’t managed to update it. And the kicker? I suspect they’re planning to partner with the very group that once filed a complaint against me… because I had the audacity to correct their errors.
